Veronica’s ‘Proper’ Shepherd’s Pie

A delicious twist on the classic Shepherd’s Pie using our secret ingredients Artisan Irish Smoked and Spicy Ketchup – Enjoy!
- TMT Spicy Ketchup (to taste)
- TMT Smoked Ketchup (to taste)
700g minced lamb
1 large onion , chopped
- 2-3 medium carrots , chopped
- 400ml beef stock
2 tsp of Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp of olive oil
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a medium frying pan over a medium heat and soften the onion and carrots for 5-6 minutes. Turn up the heat and allow the pan to get hot before you add the minced lamb.
Now add the first secret ingredient, TMT Artisan Irish Spicy Ketchup… You decide how spicy you want the dish. Followed by TMT Artisan Irish Smoked Ketchup, also to taste.
Simmer the mixture for 30 minutes then transfer it to an oven proof dish and prepare to add the topping.
To prepare the topping, use half potato, half sweet potato and butter well mashed. Add cheese on top.
